Teen Tries to Perform an ‘Escalator Helicopter’; Ends Up Crashing
While at the Colorado Springs Mall last week, Joe Szklarski decided to try the “escalator helicopter” trick he saw someone do on YouTube.
And, as we all know, people attempting to recreate things they see on YouTube are always successful. At injuring themselves and/or others.
“So my friend broke the escalator at the mall,” Joe’s pal Andrew Nichols told 9NEWS. “$3700 in fees.”
Sure, that’s a lot of money to an 18-year-old, but there’s an upside: “It still is as funny as crap,” said Andrew, who filmed the predictable failure, “and I’ve seen it so many times!”

Zombies Attack In California’s New Distracted Driving Ads
This is the first of seven anti-distracted driving ads the California Office of Traffic Safety will roll out on TV this week, reports the Sacramento Bee. They’re all filled with zombies.
April is this year’s designated National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, so we suggest all California residents immediately consult our recommendations for apocalypse-proof vehicles lest they be consumed by hordes of texting undead.

Arrested Drunk Man Sings “Bohemian Rhapsody” In Its Entirety In Back Of Police Car [UPDATE]
Dude in the video above wasn’t happy about being picked up by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for being intoxicated. The best excuse he can muster is something about “brotherhood of men on the planet earth” before he segues right into singing Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” In its entirety. He even provides the instrumental interlude. There’s nothing clever to add here. This performance can’t be topped.

NPR Staffer Marshall Terry Eats One Of The World’s Hottest Peppers (VIDEO)
In the video below, you nearly feel the pain of the poor sap who willingly sampled what could be the world’s hottest pepper. NPR affiliate WFAE profiled Rock Hill, South Carolina resident Ed Currie about his quest to grow a super hot pepper. Currie is waiting to hear back from Guinness World Records on if his pepper is hotter than the Trinidad Scorpion “Butch T” from Australia, currently holding the title for world’s hottest pepper. Staffer Marshall Terry agreed to sample Currie’s tiny red vegetable of terror and we’re guessing he regrets his decision. He vomits, hallucinates, has trouble talking and seems generally confused about his surroundings.
