The view from the TOP of the Great Pyramid: Tourists secretly climb Egyptian landmark to get these amazing photos | Mail Online

These photographs capture the views from the top of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

A group of Russian tourists waited until official visiting hours were over at Egypt’s famous Giza Necropolis, before scaling the enormous Great Pyramid as the sun began to set.

The Russians managed to escape the attention of security guards at the ancient site, allowing photographer Vitaliy Raskalov to snap pictures of the surrounding desert and the majestic Sphinx from the top of the 455ft structure.

VISTA’s Look at Helix Nebula | Space.com

ESO’s Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy (VISTA) has captured this unusual view of the Helix Nebula (NGC 7293), a planetary nebula located 700 light-years away. The coloured picture was created from images taken through Y, J and K infrared filters. While bringing to light a rich background of stars and galaxies, the telescope’s infrared vision also reveals strands of cold nebular gas that are mostly obscured in visible images of the Helix.

The sun is out, it’s the start of a new day… That usually means I stumble quietly around the house on the hunt for a fresh coffee or two or… :) And when it’s not pouring down, I like to have my coffee outside in the fresh air when the sun is slowly waking up too. Those quiet early morning moments are precious to me, just me, my coffee and the world. And how beautiful our world can be if we just take the time to look around. There’s a lot of beauty right out of our doorstep if we’re just willing to see it. I’ve taken my iPhone and captured some of my lovely treasures so I could share them with you.

“There’s no city on Earth more exciting or inspiring than London this year, so what better place for us to create a world first,” said QVC’s Sue Leeson.

“We are so used to taking fashion inspiration from the catwalk but this show is all about illustrating the potential of make-up, how it can be applied and adapted as trends evolve.”

She added: “One of the things that’s unique about QVC is the way we demonstrate our cosmetic and skincare brands on air with the brand owners themselves giving viewers step-by-step guides to application and tips on technique.

“Viewers are encouraged to adapt their looks and experiment with new products daily – knowing they have 30 days to return any product they try but don’t like.”

Looks on the ‘facewalk’ included ‘nu wave’, ‘flower’, ‘geisha’, ‘sky’ and ‘space’.

Photo Gallery Face Off: Alison Brie, Emma Stone, or Mila Kunis? [Pics, Images, Photos]

We’ve been writing about fantasy football and the NFL here a lot recently…a lot. And frankly, I need a little break to get recharged for Week 3. I could think of no better way to accomplish this than by dusting off an old post type we haven’t done in a while: the photo gallery face off.

Instead of just featuring two lovely ladies in this edition of the face off, I’m going with three. Why? Because it seems to me that there have been three young women who have burst into superstardom over the past year or so, who I never really hear anyone say anything negative about — which is rare in this day and age of web-anonymous negativity.

But I cannot decide whose star is shining the brightest. I’m sure you all can help me.

The three women in question are Mila Kunis, Alison Brie, and Emma Stone. Below you will find a poll, a quick recap of their recent accomplishments, and a handful of my favorite pictures of each. Have at it, and don’t forget to cast your vote! (And comment with your reasoning should you so desire.)
